LycaHealth, Lyca Group’s premium, customer-centric, private healthcare service, has opened its new state-of-the-art healthcare centre, Westminster Healthcare in Chennai, India. The new 72,000 sq ft centre is an addition to LycaHealth’s two centres in the UK and will offer a full range of procedures and services including cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, gynaecology, chest medicine, gastroenterology, bariatrics, orthopaedics, sports medicine, physiotherapy and rehabilitation and more. The centre was launched by Lyca Group and LycaHealth management at a ceremony in Chennai, where the centre’s facilities and LycaHealth’s mission were presented to a crowd of distinguished guests. Also in attendance to officially open the new centre were acclaimed Indian actor, Superstar Rajinikanth, and award-winning director S. Shankar. LycaHealth Chairperson, Prema Subaskaran, commented: “It is a great achievement to be opening Westminster Healthcare. This new state-of-the-art healthcare centre in Chennai will bring together the science of healthcare with the art of hospitality, catering for Chennai’s growing number of business executives and representing a new benchmark in five-star healthcare in India.” “I often tell my team in our centres in London that the business executives walking through the door should feel like they have come to attend a meeting to strike a deal with the doctor, rather than vulnerable and as if the results are out of their control. This is the experience I want to create,” LycaHealth and Westminster Healthcare CEO and Co-founder, Dr Manpreet Gulati, added. LycaHealth will also be launching the Westminster Training Academy in Chennai to teach aspiring technicians how to use new equipment. The Academy will operate as a “hub of knowledge”, with cutting edge technology for medical professionals in Chennai and beyond. Through the success of its exclusive healthcare centres in the UK and India, LycaHealth aims to provide funding for affordable and accessible social enterprise healthcare across underprivileged parts of the world in the future.
